New Year's Eve plans are often made early and changed late. A clear invitation tells guests when to arrive, what the night includes and how they will get home after midnight.
Give the arrival time and what happens when, from the first drinks to the toast at midnight. A running order helps when the evening has several parts, such as dinner, a band and fireworks.
Taxis are hard to find after midnight and trains may stop early. Mention the last train or a taxi plan, and ask guests how they are getting home so you can sort out lifts or a spare bed.
