A birthday invitation sets the tone for the day. Choose something bright for a lively party or a quieter design for dinner with friends, then add the details your guests need.
Put the birthday person first
Add their name, the date, the start time and the venue. Include an age only if you want to, and leave room for a short message that sounds like them.
Get the details sorted before the party
Set the number of guests allowed on each invitation and ask about dietary needs. Your guest list brings the replies together when it is time to organise food and seating.
Your invitation questions
- Can I include a birthday photo?
- Yes. Choose a photo design and upload your image, or upload a complete invitation you have designed elsewhere.
- Can guests bring someone with them?
- You can set each invitation's party size, including named guests or an unnamed plus-one.
- Do guests need the Invite Jam app?
- No. They can open the invitation and reply in their browser without creating an account.
- Can I create a birthday invitation for free?
- The free plan includes up to three events and 25 guests per event, with Invite Jam branding. Larger guest lists and extras have paid options.
